Our condolences to the Terrebonne family and the Springfield Fire
& Rescue Department of Louisiana. FireFighter Riley Terrebonne, 29,
a veteran of the Springfield Fire & Rescue Department, died Monday
April 21, 2008. Riley was off duty when he approached a motor vehicle
accident in Tangipahoa Parish. He stopped his vehicle and began to
care for the victim when he was struck by an oncoming vehicle and
pinned against a guardrail. He was transported to North Oaks Hospital
where he was stabilized and transferred to Our Lady of the Lake
Regional Medical Center in Baton Rouge where he succumbed to his
injuries the next day.

Riley was previously a firefighter in Port Sulfur, Louisiana. After
Hurricane Katrina, he moved his family to Livingston Parish, where
he joined the Springfield Fire & Rescue, Livingston Parish Fire
Protection District 2.

Our brother Riley leaves behind his parents Pamela and Riley Sr,
his son Andre, his girlfriend Gerri and her children Seth, JJ,
and Lynn. A visitation for Riley will be held on Friday April 25,
2008 6-8PM at Brandon G. Thompson Funeral Home in Hammond. A
funeral service for Riley will be held on Saturday April 26, 2008
1PM at the funeral home followed by a burial at the Springfield
Cemetery.
