Our condolences to the Broxterman and Schira families, and the
Colerain Township Fire Department of Cincinnati, Ohio. Fire Captain
Robin Broxterman, 37, a 17 year veteran of the Colerain Township
Fire Department and FireFighter Brian Schira, 29, a 1 year
veteran of the Colerain Township Fire Department, died Friday
April 4, 2008. Robin and Brian were first due with Engine Company
102 at an early morning residential structure fire. While
performing search and rescue they were trapped in the basement
after the floor collapsed. Robin and Brian perished before they
could be rescued. The occupants of the residence escaped the
fire without injury.


Robin Broxterman had been instructing FireFighter and Medical Personnel
for the last nine years at Great Oaks Career Campus. Our sister Robin
leaves behind her fiancee Green Township FireFighter Don Patterson,
and her two daughters Courtney (8), and Sierra (10).

Brian Schira started his career with the Delhi Township Fire Department
in March of 2006, and then with the Colerain Township Fire Department
in November 2007. Brian had also worked at Home Depot for 8 years. Our
brother Brian leaves behind his parents Peter and Elizabeth, and his two
brothers Eric and Daniel.

There will be a public visitation for Robin and Brian on Tuesday April 8,
2008 3-8PM at the Gwen Mooney Funeral Home in Cincinnati. A funeral service
for Robin and Brian will be held on Wednesday Aprl 9, 2008 11AM at St. Peter
& Chains Cathedral in Cincinnati followed by a procession through Colerain
Township before a burial at Spring Grove Cemetery. A memorial fund has been
