Our condolences to the Picozzi family and the Lower Chichester Fire
Company of Linwood, Pennsylvania. Lieutenant Nicholas Picozzi, 35,
a 7 year volunteer of the Lower Chichester Fire Company, died
Wednesday March 5, 2008. Nicholas had responded to a basement fire
caused by trees falling on primary power lines in Upper Chichester.
He was trapped in the basement and perished. Three other firefighters
were injured attempting to rescue him. Two were treated and released
but one remains in fair condition at the Crozer-Chester Medical Center
Burn Unit.

His parents, Nicholas Sr., a member of the county fire police,
and Nancy, the financial secretary for the ladies auxiliary, both
responded to the incident. Nicholas was also a 3 year member of the
Boothwyn Fire Company.

Our brother Nicholas leaves behind his wife Stephanie and his
two sons Anthony (13) and Danny (11). A viewing for Nicholas will
be held on Monday March 10, 2008 3:30-9PM at Holy Savior Church
in Lower Chichester Township. A funeral service for Nicholas will
be held on Tuesday March 11, 2008 11AM at Lawn Croft Cemetery. A
