Our condolences to the Yonkin family and the Forest
View-Gang Mills Fire Department of Painted Post, New
York. Fire Chief Lawrence Yonkin, 56, a 30 year veteran
of the Forest View-Gang Mills Fire Department died
Sunday November 15, 2003. Lawrence died of an apparent
heart attack after returning home from a civilian casualty
structure fire in the Woodland Park section of Erwin. He
was transported to Corning Hospital where he was
pronounced dead.
Our brother Lawrence leaves behind his wife, Linda, his
two daughters Karen and Marianne, and his son Mark. A
visitation will be held for Lawrence on Tuesday November
18, 2003 2-4PM and 7-9PM at Carpenter's Funeral Home.
A funeral will be held for Lawrence on Wednesday November
19, 2003 10AM at Carpenter's Funeral Home. A memorial
fund has been established and donations can be made to:
