Our condolences to the Leslie family and the Coal City Community
Volunteer Fire Department of Indiana. FireFighter Dennise Leslie,
37, a volunteer with the Coal City Community Volunteer Fire Department,
died Monday July 2, 2007. Dennise was responding to the fire station
in her personal pickup truck to respond to a brush fire with an engine.
She swerved to avoid an oncoming car and lost control of her vehicle
which overturned and struck a tree. Dennise was not ejected and passed
away at the scene.
