Our condolences to the Nolton family and the Newark Fire Department
of New Jersey. FireFighter Cornelius Nolton, 37, a 14 year veteran
of the Newark Fire Department assigned to Engine Company 18, died
Monday July 23, 2007. Cornelius had complained of back and neck pain
after throwing two ladders at a residential structure fire. He was
transported from the scene to University Hospital suffering from
an apparent heart attack. He succumbed to his injuries two days later.
Our brother Cornelius leaves behind his wife and three children.
A viewing will be held for Cornelius on Monday July 30, 2007 4-8PM
and also on Tuesday July 31, 2007 9:30-10AM at Christian Pentecostal
Church in Irvington. A funeral service will be held for Cornelius on
Tuesday July 31, 2007 10AM at Christian Pentecostal Church in
Irvington followed by a burial at Hollywood Cemetery in Union.
