Our condolences to the Cole family and the Buchanan Valley Fire Department
of Orrtanna, Pennsylvania. FireFighter Adam Cole, 24, a member of the
Buchanan Valley Fire Department, died Thursday September 4, 2007. Adam
was responding to the station for a fire call when he crossed the centerline
while negotiating a curve, and struck an oncoming vehicle. He was transported
to Gettysburg Hospital but did not survive his injuries.
Our brother Adam leaves behind his parents Gary and Colleen, his sister
Meagan, and his brother Brock. A viewing will be held for Adam on Monday
September 8, 2007 2-4PM and 6-8PM at Monahan Funeral Home in Gettysburg.
A viewing will also be held on Tuesday September 9, 2007 9-11AM followed by
an 11AM mass at Saint Ignatius Church in Orrtanna. A memorial fund has been
