News Archive» November 2000 11/25/00 Waterbury Brother Burned
This morning, Lt. Shawn Pace, of Waterbury Fire Department Truck Co.
3, was burned in a structure fire in the East End. He received 2nd and possibly some 3rd
degree burns to his ears, neck, and forehead, when a room flashed over. He will be staying at
Waterbury Hospital for a couple of days recovering.
As some of you may have noticed, the website pages are now all called .html instead of .html.
I decided to change the site to server-side include's. This will make it easier for me to make changes to the website's
overall format, and hopefully it will load faster. You will see at the bottom I joined the Microsoft bCentral Banner
Exchange Network. And I created another FireFightingLinks.com banner, which I added to the
Link to Us page.
Robin McDonald, wife of Fallen Brother Kevin McDonald, of the Waterbury
Fire Department, has written a letter of appreciation to the Waterbury Fire Department
members, the Waterbury Fireman's Aid, Special Services Unit, and 'The Brain'. The letter will be
distributed to all Waterbury fire stations shortly. You can read the letter in the
Fallen Brothers section or
simply click here.
I added 5 more photos to
Kevin McDonald's Gallery. Some were taken by Kevin.
I added 3 new sponsors,
All Together Leather,
Coupons.com, and
GiveAnything.com.
Jamie Annes, wife of Fallen Brother Michael Annes, of the Waterbury
Fire Department, has written a letter of appreciation to the Waterbury Fire Department
members, the Waterbury Fireman's Aid, and the Special Services Unit. The letter will be
distributed to all Waterbury fire stations today. You can read the letter in the
Fallen Brothers section or
simply click here.
Glen was released from Hartford Hospital and has been home since
Saturday, November 18th. He has been eating small amounts of food and his recovery continues
to move forward. Anyone interested in phoning or visiting Glen, information will be sent out
tomorrow in a memo from Lt. Bob Stoeckert to all Waterbury Fire Stations.
Happy Birthday Snookie! I love you and miss you. See you in a couple weeks.
I finally finished the memorial page for my cousin,
Kevin McDonald. Please take a moment and view it, to honor his memory.
I added a photo gallery for
Kevin McDonald. The memorial page can hold only so many pictures, and I am receiving so many.
I made a section in the Photo Galleries for Memorial Galleries. Kevin's is the first. Please take a moment and view
it. There are 8 pictures with more being added soon. The memorial page will be done very soon. I am waiting for
a few more pictures and details on donations and tshirts.
I would like to thank everyone involved, 30 strong, that showed up Saturday morning
and helped, and provided equipment, for cleaning up the leaves and entire backyard at Kevin's house for Robin and
the kids. It was greatly appreciated. I will be posting a photo here as soon as Tubby gets me the digital pictures he took.
Thanks for the pics Rich. There are 4 additional pictures in the gallery for
Kevin McDonald.

Glen is still in ICU listed as critical. After several surgeries, doctors are optimistic.
His spinal damage was limited to torn ligaments. No internal organs were damaged, except for a large section of
his intestine, which was removed. Doctors plan to reset his arm today. Good luck Glen, and get healthy.
