10/28/00 Appreciation of Support
On behalf of the Robin, Kelley, Robert, and all of the McDonald family, I would like
to express heartfelt thanks to all who paid their respects to Kevin. To my brothers and sisters of the Waterbury
Fire Department, there are no words to express how much your support has meant to us. As Rich Paltauf said, he was
a great man; and even these words fall short of the man himself. He will be missed by all who knew him and all who
loved him. Shall we all endeavor to meet the standards he set forth in everything he did.
10/26/00 Fallen Brother
Two Waterbury firemen were involved in an off-duty accident yesterday October 25, 2000.
Kevin McDonald and Glenn Bradley were crushed by a flat bed dump body while they were inspecting it. Kevin was
killed instantly and Glen was flown by LifeStar to Hartford Hospital after being extricated. I will be posting
news of Glen's condition as soon as possible.
I will be adding a memorial for Kevin with more information to the Fallen Brothers section
very soon. Calling hours will be Friday October 27, at the Woodtick Memorial Funeral Home, Wolcott, CT, 4PM - 8PM.
Services will be held Saturday October 28, at St. Leo the Great Church, Waterbury, CT, 10AM. Anyone interested in
attending the wake or funeral, please call the Waterbury FireFighters Association at (203) 574-5668.
It is with a heavy heart that I make this announcement. Some of you may have noticed
Kevin's last name. Kevin was my cousin.
I love you, cuz.
